Display Settings

Backend -> Kunena -> Categories ->(choose) Category -> Display Settings These settings are for display options on the Index page, so that you can choose what will be shown on the index page.

Here a few examples with the category Welcome Mat and theirs sub categories.

First example

Default settings are Display This Category = Up to Sub-Category Level and Display Sub-Categories = Up to Sub-Category Level

You can see all categories and subcategories.

Second example

Settings are Display This Category = Up to Sub-Category Level and Display Sub-Categories = Never in Category Index

All sub categories are hidden. You must click on the category to see the sub categories.

Third example

Settings are Display This Category = Never in Category Index and Display Sub-Categories = Up to Sub-Category Level

The category Welcome Mat is hidden now. You must click on “See Complete List of Subjects” to see all categories.

Fourth example

The same works also with sub categories. You can to hide all or only individual sub categories. In this example is hiding the subcategory-2. Settings for individual hidden subcategories are Display This Category = Never in Category Index and Display Sub-Categories = Up to Sub-Category Level

You must click on “See more…” to see all subcategories.
